Meet Tris.
I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember, but my passion for photography began when I photographed my childhood dog, Chloë. Most dogs love fetch, but my girl loved getting her photos taken-- truly! Growing up, I would grab my camera and my sweet dog would excitedly run to the backyard, knowing that this was our time to spend together.
I believe a great photograph is born out of connection. I bring an artistic, sincere, and documentary approach to my photography. Though I shoot both digital and film, my work is heavily inspired by film and the stillness it requires-- to pause and truly notice the beauty in the in-between.
This is the coolest "job" I will ever have. I'm wildly thankful to be right where the LORD has me... that I get to connect with you and be a part of expressing your story.

I have given my life to Christ and strive to glorify Him in all that I do-- including THP. I get to my sessions early to pray over my clients in the car before we begin. The LORD has given me such a unique opportunity to love and serve His people through my craft.
I'm a mom to the sweetest boys in the world, Emerson and Wells! Growing up, all I wanted was to be a mama. It is no slight thing to be given this role. Motherhood is truly the joy of my life.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Andy. He is my biggest supporter and the love of my life! He is currently in his first year of anesthesia residency at UT Medical Center, and I am so proud of him!
I graduated from The University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship-- Tris Hope Photo was my project in the making for all of my entrepreneurship classes.
When I'm not taking photos, you can likely find me going for a long run, hiking with my family, reading, doing crafts with my babies, enjoying a cup of coffee (or a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc), or planning our next family adventure.
