How I started & why I stayed
I have had a camera in my hands for as long as I can remember, but my passion for photography began by taking photos of my childhood dog, Chloë. Most dogs love fetch, but my girl loved getting her photos made-- truly! Growing up, I would grab my camera and my sweet dog would excitedly run to the backyard, knowing that this was our time to spend together.
As I have fallen in love with the art of photography and visual journaling, I have reflected on what initially drew me in. Simply put, it is the opportunity to document connection. In the beginning, it was connection with my dog. Now, it is connection with and between my clients.
I aim to be your storyteller... to capture candid connection in a timeless style. My prayer for my photography is that I would make each of my subjects feel seen, confident, and beautiful. Tris Hope Photography is not just about the photos, but about creating an experience-- my hope is that you leave your session with joy.
This is the coolest "job" I will ever have. I'm wildly thankful to be right where the LORD has me... that I get to connect with you and be a part of expressing your story.
Some more about me...
I'm a mom to the sweetest boy in the world, Emerson! Growing up, all I wanted was to be a mama. It is no slight thing to be given this role. Motherhood is truly the joy of my life.
I'm married to my high school sweetheart, Andy. He is my biggest supporter and the love of my life! He is currently in his 4th year of medical school at Marshall University, and I am so proud of him!
I graduated from The University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship-- Tris Hope Photo was my project in the making for all of my entrepreneurship classes!
When I'm not taking photos, you can likely find me going for a long run, hiking with my family, reading, doing crafts with my baby, enjoying a cup of coffee (or a cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc), or planning our next family adventure.
